PAR LITTLE LAMBS
TODDLERS’ GROUP
Par
Little Lambs Toddlers Group is for babies and pre-school children who, each
along with a favourite accompanying adult, meet at the Gott Hall every Tuesday
during term time and half-term holidays between 10am and 1 pm.
Here in a light, spacious,
well equipped environment, in an atmosphere of fun and friendship, they enjoy
an extravaganza of playtime
opportunities.
There is large play equipment
to explore including an adventure tunnel, a rocking hippo, trikes, push along
toys and a very popular sit in and ride coupe car.
There are smaller
investigative toys including jigsaw puzzles, shape matching puzzles, an
assortment of interesting books for curious minds and numerous building bricks.
A collection of dressing up
clothes along with a dolls house, a farm, a garage, a play food set and more,
inspire role-play situations.
Every week there is a
creative experience, which may be about painting, colouring, ssticking, using
play dough or cooking (Little Lambs have made their own Christmas cakes and
Easter biscuits).
Each session features singing
time and percussion band in the internally adjoining Church of the Good
Shepherd and, following closing prayers, everyone returns to the Gott Hall for
a picnic of refreshments, more play and story-time, offering a rich variety of
children’s literature.
Little Lambs Toddlers group
has participated in Nativity plays with older friends from Junior Church and
has joined in a parade to raise funds for disabled facilities and refurbishment
of the Gott Hall.
End of summer is celebrated with a teddy bears picnic party.
