The day the church’s foundation stone was laid in 1848

St Mary’s Church St Blazey Gate, PL24 2EE.

 

The first Church designed by George Edmund Street.

9.30am - Said Holy Communion led by Revd Jake Loewendahl.

10.00am - Morning Coffee & Biscuits.

10.30am - Talk by Revd Canon Michael Warner FSA. Skrifer Eglosyow on the history of St Mary’s Church and GE Street.

 

Followed by a guided walk around the Churchyard paths, looking at some interesting local family headstones and the Flora and Fauna.

12.30pm. Lunch served.

 

Musical Duo.

 

1.30pm. Talk by Michael Swift, leading authority on the stained glass of Cornwall’s Churches.

2.30pm. Guided walk around the Churchyard paths looking at some unusual local family headstones and the Flora & Fauna.
